The District of today’s Ranga Reddy was carved out in the year 1978. The District is popularly known now as Ranga Reddy but formerly it was nomenclated as K.V.Ranga Reddy District, which in fact split from the territory of Hyderabad District. The name of this district was given as K.V.Ranga Reddy District, who was popular social worker, politician with human touch.

              On constitution of Ranga Reddy District, its District Court was formed, which commenced from 20.01.1982 having its place of functioning at Paigah Building, Begumpet, Hyderabad. The founding fathers of the association met in the year 1983 and registered it as ‘THE BAR ASSOCIATION, RANGA REDDY DISTRICT COURTS” under the provisions of Public Society Registration Act, 1350 Fasli.

                In the process of administration, all the courts of Ranga Reddy District were shifted to HUDA Complex, Kothapet, Saroornagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy District in the year 1985. Though the Bar Association of Ranga Reddy District evolved in the year 1983 with minute group, it has sprung to great number during its functionary at HUDA Complex, Kothapet, Saroornagar, Ranga Reddy District.

               The administration of State and Judiciary having noticed the necessity had constructed own building for Ranga Reddy District Courts as a complex, with great ambience, for more effective administration. The District Court complex with laudable amenities, carved itself as role model among the District Courts of the State. Thus the present District Court complex commenced to work from 29.10.1999 and during the course of time the strength of the members of Bar Association increased potentially and nearing 7000 figure. For all laudable reasons The Bar Association, Ranga Reddy District stood prestigious in the State of A.P. which imbibed with many stalwarts’ & legal luminaries.

               In the successful journey, The Bar Association is also evolving by adopting the usage of latest technology in providing E-Library, official website and Wi-Fi facility, to cater the needs of its members. The Bar Association for the first time published the Directory containing all particulars of its members, along with their photographs and released on 15-08-2012, by Sri. M.S.K. Jaiswal, Hon’ble Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ranga Reddy District.
